In addition to the functions, duties and rights written elsewhere in this Act, other functions, duties and rights of the Department shall be as follows:-
(A) To create a comfortable environment for the establishment and operation of industries to be established with foreign investment (b) Facilitating foreign investors to obtain any approval or permit including preliminary environmental testing, environmental impact assessment, etc. in accordance with prevailing laws,
(c) To keep up-to-date records of foreign investments and technology transferred to Nepal, which have been approved or received permission in accordance with this Act or prevailing laws, update them and make them public periodically,
(d) Giving approval to foreign investors and foreign investment industries to take back investment and wages to foreign experts, technicians or managerial staff working in accordance with section 27,
(e) To make the foreign investment transparent and to simplify the procedure, create and implement a standard operating procedure,
(f) Recommending and facilitating visas for foreign investors and their official representatives and foreign experts, technical or managerial staff and minor members of their families working in foreign-invested industries in accordance with Section 27,
(G) Regular supervision and monitoring whether or not foreign invested industries have misused the facilities provided in accordance with this Act,
(h) Facilitating the establishment of industries in industrial zones or special economic zones for foreign-invested industries,
(j) To do other work as specified.
